hello, i’m kate coslett.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, I’ve always had a passion for art. And flying. Not for birds though. Nope. I love coffee on my front porch, the peace of the mountains, my little family, kind people, board games, my giant pups, wine, happy nail colors, watching my boys do what they love, posing with saguaros, beating my husband in a good game of rummy, and getting lost in old bookstores. Oh. And I love naming things. Dogs, cars, inanimate objects. Everything gets a name or a nickname.
I don’t have a favorite color. I never have. I think I just love them all the same. Color is happy. It is positive. It is universal. It’s what makes the world beautiful.
We creatives see the world a bit differently. I tend to see the big picture first, and have to work backwards. My vision for each project resets with the nature of who the consumer is. I’m fascinated by consumer behavior and likewise root my process in understanding their world.
I’m always curious. Always exploring. I always look outside categories for inspiration, in other mediums and art forms. The gift of design is a blessing and a curse. It’s not something you can turn off, and being your passion, it’s only satisfying when your soul says it’s right. I bring my A game to every project, every team, and every meeting. It’s what I love, and I make it my goal to leave the world kinder and more beautiful everyday.
Whether it is packaging, branding, or designing an experience, creating is my happy place. Developing strategic solutions across all details and touch points is my secret weapon, and working with like-minded, strong and positive good humans is my passion.
